we were the ones
the ones they wanted
we were the warriors
who answered the call
we gave it all
alone and united
no one before us
to help catch our fall
we were the few
the few that were summoned
educated from the start
that we could have it all
we were the few
promised the hereafter
of legend and history
of our own to call
why was it us
was not what we wondered
no questions no fuss
of this duty we bore
they gave us their trust
Our victory they hungered
So we took up their banner
And rode out to war
