the brave dont live long, the cautious dont live at all

Would be nice to geta tattoo. Like on my back shoulder or something.
something poetic. something that speaks about me. something
something cool. Like Icarus, flying over the sea at night.
something with a story to tell, when people ask about it.

but the problem with tattoos, and this is a problem that NS, has really
opened my eyes to; is that as you get old,

the tattoo ink gets faded,
the skin gets saggy
you dont feel like taking your shirt off to show it off (poor physique)
it just doesnt fit in anymore.

"Dude. Think of it as motivation to keep your body in shape!"

HAH! Neaaah. not me. Im more likely to lose an index finger in a
bet than keep working out at the age of 50.

anyways speaking about dharvin,

I think we are among the elite few in Singapore who can actually
talk about cycling to changi village for prata, on the way home
and then do it immediately after reaching. A few dollars and were off.

thats got to be one of the things ill miss most bout singapore

if i ever do eventually take off.
the reliability and accessibility of life here. the friends i share this life with.
the night is so free for the taking.
oh my god, my god, you really must go running at night.
then youll understand just what i mean.

----

its funny. How i was reading the sundown marathon write up.
and it EXACTLY mirrored my own thoughts
while I went running from pasir ris to east coast Sunday night.
only i was thinking more along the lines of.. why photography is
not enough for running. because it doesnt capture

the cool wind on your face
the sound of cars roaring by
the taste of sweat rolling down your forehead
that smell of curry coming from that perpetual construction site
the rush of adrenaline as you decide you want to run that much faster.

oh, oh, oh... I must must must have it

yes i do. drooools...sigh.

----

anyways theres no more reason for me to stay up tonight.
so this is where I shall bid yee farewell..

Ciao!
